Mirror, mirror on the wall…

One most rewarding experience: Sorting through old files and finding jewels like this. 3D experiment from 2009, I believe, using a distorted normal map on the foreground model and transparent color projection on the background.

Majesty

Every once in a while my sketchbook leads me back to animal kingdom’s great majesties; here’s some sketches from today’s pages.

Line patterns from the sketchbook

Line drawings from my sketchbook (pages of 29.01.2012), that follow a certain logic, or drawing algorithm, if you will. There is something enticing and meditative about having a drawing follow a concrete logic, which in this case, is very geometric and still organic. Once the logic is there, it can be reapplied to a new paper, and a new flow of lines from which a similar organism of lines starts to grow.
